Sports Coaching (Football) Internship: 2015

Positions Available: 2 x Coaching Positioning

Position Details:

This exciting position will develop your professional skills as a potential professional football coach or manager; allowing you to work hands-on with elite athletes. Your duties will include assisting the head football coaches to deliver the technical development sessions and tactical match-play sessions. You will also be required to assist with all match-play data collection and technical/tactical evaluations using GPS data, Dartfish and SportsCode analysis tools.

The team at FC11 understands that interns have external commitments such as study and work; therefore the time commitments for these roles are flexible. However a minimum of 2 out of the 4 morning training sessions must be attended (Monday – Thursday 8:30-11:30). The Head Football Coach will work with you to coordinate a suitable and realistic schedule for the year, along with a clear outline of your roles, responsibilities and learning opportunities.

In return for your commitment to FC11, you will receive full FC11 training uniform, access to all of the elite training facilities for your own training, the ability to work with elite athletes, general work experience, excellent industry networking (in the area of football) and the possibility of future employment.

Essential:

  • A Credit (C) average throughout previous studies
  • A passion for coaching football (soccer) at a senior or youth level
  • Knowledge of basic coaching principles
  • Experience in designing and implementing football (soccer) coaching sessions
  • Current or Ability to obtain First-Aid & Working with Children Check

Desirable:

  • Work experience within football coaching and/or personal playing experience
