Northern NSW Football (NNSWF) is pleased to announce Weston Junior Football Club, from Hunter Valley Football as Newcastle Permanent Club of the Month Winner for April 2019.

Weston Junior Football Club was awarded as the winner of the Newcastle Permanent Club of the Month Award due to its significant contribution to the local community.

“Weston Junior has made a significant and valuable contribution to the local community through its successful implementation of programs, including a very successful Kick-Off Program in 2018 and the development of ‘girls only’ MiniRoos teams,” NNSWF Senior Officer Community Football Ross Hicks commented.

“These new opportunities for the club have enabled them to be consistent support and encouragement to the community.

“With strong relationships between Hunter Valley Football and Northern NSW Football, the club was also able to recently achieve their Level 2 National Club Accreditation Scheme accreditation this year.

“We applaud the efforts of the Weston Junior Football Club Committee, coaches and players which demonstrate that community is integral to the club’s ethos,” Hicks concluded.

Newcastle Permanent Kurri Kurri Branch Manager, Diane Wells, echoed Hicks’ sentiments and is pleased a Hunter Valley Football club has been rewarded for its efforts.

“Newcastle Permanent is committed to supporting great community initiatives and the Club of the Month Award provides us with the opportunity to recognise and reward clubs for the valuable contributions they make to their local area, both on and off the field,” Wells said.
