Thornton Redbacks FC (TRFC) is the only club in the Hunter Valley Association to offer a pathway for talented young ladies in football.  TRFC has competed in the Herald Womens Premier League (WPL) for the past 3 seasons and our results are improving each season. WPL is the highest club based competition in Northern NSW Football (NNSWF) with the next step being either Emerging Jets or the Westfield W League.  The Herald WPL competition currently competes in the following age divisions Under 14, Under 16, Under18 and 1st Grade.  In 2015 we had 8 players from our U14/U16 squads identified and selected into the Emerging Jets Program, which was the biggest intake into this program from any club in the WPL and a fact that we are very proud of.

In 2015 TRFC was also name Herald Womens Premier League Club of the Year at the NNSWF Annual Awards night, this accolade is based on a number of factors being performance of players both on and off the field, attitude of players, Coaches, Managers and Club Officials and lastly on the organisational structure and performance of the Clubs Board of Directors.

We offer fully qualified coaching staff where players will undertake a regimented program to enhance the player’s natural ability as well as polish and refine those skills necessary to advance in their chosen sport.

We will be conducting our 2017 Herald WPL trials at the above mentioned dates and we would like to personally offer you the opportunity to come along and participate in these trials in your appropriate age division.
