Northern NSW Football (NNSWF) would like to acknowledge the wonderful achievement of Weston Junior FC as the latest Northern NSW Football club to gain level 1 accreditation with the National Club Accreditation Scheme.
NNSWF Club Development Officer Phillip Andrews along with Sarah and Phyllis from Hunter Valley Football attended the club’s March committee meeting to present them with their certificate for gaining level 1 accreditation in the NCAS.
Level 1 accreditation through the NCAS is a signal to sponsors, grant providers, club members and the community that Weston Junior FC has ensured their governance is in order and are sending a strong message that the committee is motivated to improve opportunities for playing football in Weston.
‘’Weston Junior FC has ambitions to grow and better serve the needs of all junior footballers in the Weston area. The core group of committee members running Weston Junior FC have been together for a few years and are beginning to make positive changes at an administration level while initiating their plan to attract new players and grow the number of returning players.” Andrews said.
“Weston Junior FC ran a successful MiniRoos Kick-Off program in 2018 aimed directly at attracting young footballers to their club and plan to provide this opportunity again this year. The committee is excited about the increase in registrations for 2019 and are extremely proud that they will be fielding 4 female only MiniRoos teams this season.”
