Savannah Boller
Under 14/1
Byron Bay FC
Football Far North Coast
For a player who only took up football two years ago, Savannah has come a long way. Having played rugby in Sydney, when her family moved North she switched codes and put her ball handling skills to good use. In the FFNC 12 girls representative team she was identified by selectors for her talent and went on to be selected as the goalkeeper in the NNSW state team.
Competing at the national championships in Canberra last month she did her club, zone and family proud. Although only 13, Savannah now plays in the FFNC grade 14 1st division mixed comp for Byron Bay FC as well as the FFNC 14 girls rep team competing in the Queensland state youth league.
Congratulations Savannah from the Newcastle Permanent Building Society and Northern NSW Football!

Under 18s
Mayfield United JSFC
Newcastle Football
Our Under 18s side has been together for quite a few years now, they are an enthusiastic, athletic team who show the highest amounts of dedication to their games and training and outstanding sportsmanship. They work hard as a team refining their football skills over the years and have flourished under the influence of their coaching staff - Andrew and Michael.
We are proud to have this team in our club and hope to retain them next year for the All Age competition. Under 18s are currently sitting a well deserved 4th on the table with 2 wins and 1 loss. We hope they stay in the top 4 and continue with their fantastic season.
Congratulations Mayfield United Under 18s from the Newcastle Permanent Building Society and Northern NSW Football!

Under 9 Lions
Thornton JFC
Hunter Valley Football
This team has teo players playing up an age and are always available to fill in for other teams. They also played in the street football competition on the floating pontoon and went through the day undefeated, making them champions for their age group.
They all love football and never want to come off the field.

As an organisation formed to reconnect former and current participants in a meaningful way to strengthen football, it is saddening to see actions that have fractured and disconnected the football community.
“At our monthly management committee meeting on Monday night, it was resolved to support those members of the football community seeking to ensure due process, transparency and decision making based on performance, rather than politics at the highest level” spokesman Graham Hills said.
“To that end we support the members of NNSW Football in their deliberations and considered actions to ensure football continues to develop into the future with strong leadership”.

Fractured NNSWF Board Continues to Ignore Member Zone Sentiment

Northern NSW Football’s seven member zones wish to express their ongoing concern at the failure of the Board to listen to the continued calls for them to stand down from their position.
Since the removal of Mr David Eland from office as Chief Executive Officer, they continue to act against the expressed wishes of the 50,000 stakeholders within Northern NSW represented by the seven member zones.
In their latest display of disrespect towards the zone’s position and their ignorance over the interests of those they represent, they have today again shown their single mindedness resolve and have gone against the expressed wishes of the governing body for football in Australia, the FFA, by continuing with an announcement to install an interim CEO, announced Mr Jock Graham, former Newcastle City Council employee and CEO of Newcastle United FC under the ownership of Con Constantine.
The Chairman of Northern NSW Football also advised that Mr Eland was dismissed through a ‘vote of no confidence’ from the Board. Ironically, Mr Moore also stated that Mr Eland had performed admirably and that his dismissal ‘wasn’t performance related’.
Mr Moore then went on to advise that the Board members will be moving ‘as quickly as possible’ to fill the remaining two positions on the Board.
Mr Moore constantly reinforced that this decision was one made by ‘all four Board members’, even though Mr Andrew Robertson abstained from the vote. With this in mind and based on Mr Moore’s admission, the members will now amend their application to have ALL Board members dismissed.
We will continue to pursue our legal options to ensure that this fractured board is removed and the wishes of our members across Northern NSW are acted upon promptly.

Grant was awarded the Hunter Valley’s Volunteer of the Year Award after being with the club for many years and serving in various positions on Dungog Soccer Club’s Committee. In particular he has previously fulfilled the role of President and is currently Club Secretary. In addition to his official capacity as Secretary, Grant is the trusty groundsman, ground official, canteen worker and current coach of Under 14's age group and various other teams over the years.
This year has seen the development of an amenities block which is something that Dungog Soccer Club has been fighting for since its inception over 30 years ago. Grant has been instrumental in getting the amenities block built and has played the key role over the past six years from the original planning stage, to securing an $88,000 grant, to the bricks and mortar as it is now.
